How Do You Say "SharePoint" In ...

Categories: How To, SharePoint
I caught up with an old friend from Taiwan and I was trying to explain what I do. We were talking in Mandarin Chinese and when it came to a point that I needed to explain what SharePoint is, I was stumped because I wasn't sure how to say "SharePoint" in Chinese. So I did what every multi-lingual speaker would do ... Google it! Here's what Google Translate came back with:

Chinese

German

AktienPunkt

Spanish

CompartidoPunto

French: Point de Partage (Point of Sharing). However, for product names that don't have a specific translation you usually just say the English word.

The German translation is so wrong.... it translates 'share' as the 'stock exchange shares'. But any translation would sound weird in a way, as you can't quite say it that short
